Also a huge thank you to Mr Monk and Mr Anstiss for agreeing to be part of the report, the student greatly appreciate it. Finally, a huge thank you to the KS5 Journalism team who spent the day working alongside the KS3 students offering guidance and advice. I couldn't have been prouder seeing you all working alongside one another.

You may have also seen yesterday that we released some information about the brave airman that gave their lives in defence of our freedom 75 years ago, if you have any additional information about the crew please do not hesitate to contact me via dmanning@felpham.org.uk or the school switchboard and I will pass your information onto the RAF Association.

School Report 2017 - RAF Memorial Segment

Created by the KS3 Journalism Students, here is the interview between Robbie and Mr Monk in order to discuss the RAF Memorial being moved in Bognor.

The unveiling of the memorial at its new home will take place on 15th April 2017, which is the 75th Anniversary of the crash of the Hampden bomber on the Bognor Sea Front.

The organisers are hoping to trace relatives of the crew who are probably unaware that this memorial to their ancestors exists. The crew were:

Sgt. Stanley Wilson Charles Culmer (Pilot), Service No 1283606
Sgt. R E Nation, Service No 925007
Sgt. J A Hutchinson, Service No 951362
Sgt. D Manning, Service No 1112428

Please contact Felpham FM via felphamfm@felpham.org.uk if you have any information about these airmen.

The people of Bognor Regis have not forgotten these young airman and the sacrifice they made in the defence of our freedom.
